Does detoxing cause sweat to stink? Occasionally I have symptoms which alerts me that my body is detoxing at a deeper level and I am curious if stinky sweat is one of those symptoms. It doesn’t last long, maybe 2 days, and I tend to sweat more during those two days. Its so weird. I cannot figure it out. Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

Yes! Remember from the Deeper Detox course that one of the main ways we excrete toxins is through the skin. So when you are doing “more” detoxing, it is very likely that you may sweat more and that it may be stinkier (things coming out!). This is a very common reaction, though not one that people look forward to.

I remember when I was younger, I loved that I never sweat… not even during 3-hour dance classes! Now I know how awful that was for me and that it should have been a huge red flag. But in our society, sweat is not valued for what it is doing for us and so I did not see the issue. Interesting to connect how we perceive things versus what they really are! Hahaha, a little of topic and not necessarily about your question, just extra musings. 🙂

Hahaa – Thank you! I will learn to embrace my stinky sweat.

I also find at times I sweat really bad when I am sleeping. Sometimes I wake up and my shirt is wet and I need to change it. I would normally think this was related to hormones but with all the hormone work I have done, I am now wondering if it may be due to deeper detox. Any thoughts of that?

So that could be either hormones or detoxing. You have done a TON of work on your hormones but it could still be contributing here. How long has this been happening? Would it be more since you stopped the protocol or …?
